Accounts
Section titled “Accounts”How do I create an account?
Section titled “How do I create an account?”Head to app.gathertocraft.com and sign up with email or a social provider (Discord, Google, or Twitch). You’ll need to verify your email before your first sign-in. See Creating an Account.
Can I change my name?
Section titled “Can I change my name?”Yes, go to Settings → Account and edit your display name. It follows Minecraft username rules: 3–16 characters, letters, numbers, and underscores only.
Can I delete my account?
Section titled “Can I delete my account?”Yes. Settings → Security → Delete account. You confirm with your password and then with a confirmation email. After that, your profile, listings, feedback, and uploads are gone permanently.
What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?
Section titled “What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?”2FA is an extra login security layer: after your password, you enter a 6-digit code from an authenticator app. Enable it under Settings → Security. We strongly recommend it.
I see a device I don’t recognize in my sessions
Section titled “I see a device I don’t recognize in my sessions”Go to Settings → Security → Active sessions and revoke it. Sessions show the browser, OS, and IP address, so you can spot anything unusual. Revoking signs that device out immediately.
Minecraft verification
Section titled “Minecraft verification”What does verifying my Minecraft account do?
Section titled “What does verifying my Minecraft account do?”It proves you own the account you say you play on, and unlocks: a verified checkmark, 5 open listings (up from 1), 20 pending applications (up from 5), gallery uploads, and a Minecraft skin avatar. See Linking Your Minecraft Account.
How do I verify?
Section titled “How do I verify?”Join verify.gathertocraft.com in Minecraft Java Edition (1.8+), note the 6-digit code shown, and enter it in Settings → Security → Minecraft.
I changed my Minecraft name. How do I update it?
Section titled “I changed my Minecraft name. How do I update it?”Click Sync Username in the same card. It’s limited to 3 syncs per 24 hours, so wait until your name change is settled.
Limits
Section titled “Limits”Why can’t I create another listing?
Section titled “Why can’t I create another listing?”You’re at your open-listing limit: 1 for unverified accounts, 5 for verified. Close an existing listing (it stops being counted) or verify your Minecraft account to raise the limit.
Why can’t I apply to more listings?
Section titled “Why can’t I apply to more listings?”You can only have 5 (unverified) or 20 (verified) applications pending at once. Accepted, denied, and withdrawn applications don’t count, so check Dashboard → Applications and withdraw any you no longer want.
Why is the gallery upload button missing?
Section titled “Why is the gallery upload button missing?”Uploads require a verified Minecraft account. See the verification steps above. It takes two minutes.
I hit the daily upload/like/comment limit
Section titled “I hit the daily upload/like/comment limit”Gallery activity is capped per day: 25 uploads, 100 likes, and 30 comments. The counter resets daily.
Listings & groups
Section titled “Listings & groups”What’s the difference between a listing and a group?
Section titled “What’s the difference between a listing and a group?”A listing is a recruitment post that attracts players; a group is the persistent community those players join. Every listing belongs to a group, and acceptance into a listing makes you a member of its group.
Can I join a group without applying to a listing?
Section titled “Can I join a group without applying to a listing?”Yes, if an owner or admin invites you (they need your email address). Accept the invitation from the group page, the Groups page, or your dashboard Action Center.
Who can create listings?
Section titled “Who can create listings?”Only group owners and admins. If you’re not in a group yet, you can create one as part of creating your first listing.
How do I add my server to a group?
Section titled “How do I add my server to a group?”Group owners and admins edit the Game Server card and enter the IP and port. The platform then shows live online/offline status, player count, version, and MOTD. The address can be changed up to 5 times per hour. See Game Server.
Notifications & Discord
Section titled “Notifications & Discord”How do I get notifications in my Discord?
Section titled “How do I get notifications in my Discord?”Link your Discord account in Settings → Account, join the GatherToCraft Discord server (discord.gathertocraft.com), then turn on Discord DM notifications in Settings → Notifications. You can also choose which types of notifications go to Discord, and turn the master toggle off anytime.
Why am I not getting Discord DMs?
Section titled “Why am I not getting Discord DMs?”Check that (1) your Discord account is still linked, (2) you’re a member of the GatherToCraft Discord server, (3) the master Discord toggle is on, and (4) the per-type toggles for the notifications you expect are on. In-app notifications keep working regardless.
Privacy
Section titled “Privacy”Who can see my profile?
Section titled “Who can see my profile?”That’s up to you. Public profiles are visible to everyone, including logged-out visitors and search engines. Members profiles are visible to signed-in users only. Change it in Settings → Account → Privacy.
Can people see my email?
Section titled “Can people see my email?”No. Email addresses are only used for sign-in, verification, and notifications. Profiles show your display name, avatar, and the information you choose.
Reports & moderation
Section titled “Reports & moderation”What do my report statuses mean?
Section titled “What do my report statuses mean?”Pending: awaiting review. Dismissed: reviewed, no violation found. Actioned: reviewed, action was taken. Track all of them at Dashboard → My Reports.
Will I get in trouble for reporting?
Section titled “Will I get in trouble for reporting?”No. Reports are confidential, and legitimate reports help the community. Just don’t abuse the system by reporting content that doesn’t violate the guidelines.
What happens if I get a warning?
Section titled “What happens if I get a warning?”You’ll see it under Dashboard → My Warnings with a link to the offending content and a message from moderators. Warnings can come with reputation penalties; repeated violations escalate to content removal and bans. See Warnings.
