Warnings
A warning is a formal notice from the moderation team that one of your contributions broke the community guidelines. It’s the first step in the moderation process: a chance to correct course before things escalate.
When you get a warning
Section titled “When you get a warning”Moderators issue warnings when they find a violation in content you created: a listing, an application, a group, a gallery upload, a comment, or feedback. You’ll get a notification the moment it’s issued, so you’re never blindsided later.
Viewing your warnings
Section titled “Viewing your warnings”Open Dashboard → My Warnings (also reachable from the avatar menu, and linked from the community guidelines). Each warning shows:
- The date it was issued
- A card linking to the content that triggered it (so you can see exactly what was flagged)
- A moderator message explaining what was wrong
What to do if you’re warned
Section titled “What to do if you’re warned”- Read the warning: the moderator message explains what was wrong with the flagged content.
- Don’t repeat it. Repeat violations are treated more seriously than first-time mistakes.
- Fix the underlying issue: close or edit a problematic listing, delete an offending upload.
Consequences of repeated violations
Section titled “Consequences of repeated violations”Warnings can come with a reputation penalty (points deducted from your reputation score), and repeated or severe violations lead to content removal and ultimately bans: temporary or permanent.
If you believe a warning was issued in error, contact support from the contact page.
