Creating an Account
Creating an account takes less than a minute. Head to app.gathertocraft.com and click Get Started.
Step 1: Choose how to sign up
Section titled “Step 1: Choose how to sign up”Use the sign-up form. You’ll need:
- Name: your display name. It follows Minecraft username rules: 3–16 characters, using only letters, numbers, and underscores (
steve_123is fine,steve#1is not). - Email: used for verification and notifications.
- Password: at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character.
Complete the captcha (a simple checkbox), and you’re done.
Click the social button for the provider you want. The platform will pull your name and email from that account. You can change your display name later in Settings.
Step 2: Verify your email
Section titled “Step 2: Verify your email”We send a verification email to the address you signed up with.
- The link is valid for 24 hours.
- Clicking it signs you in automatically.
- Didn’t get the email? Sign in anyway. You’ll be offered a Resend option.
Step 3: Complete onboarding
Section titled “Step 3: Complete onboarding”The first time you sign in, a short onboarding tour walks you through the platform:
- Welcome: a quick intro to what GatherToCraft does.
- Community guidelines: the rules every member agrees to follow.
- Link your Minecraft account: optional, but recommended. You can skip this step.
- Choose an avatar: pick one of the preset avatars (or use your Minecraft skin if you linked your account).
- Link Discord: optional, for Discord notifications. You can skip this step.
- Join the Discord server: a community hub for announcements and help.
- Explore: you’re ready to go!
Choosing a secure password
Section titled “Choosing a secure password”Passwords must be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a number, and a special character. We also check every new password against lists of passwords from known data breaches. If yours is compromised, we’ll ask you to pick a different one.
You can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) anytime in Settings → Security for an extra layer of protection.
