Members and Roles

The Members card on a group page is where membership is managed. What you can do there depends on your role.

If you don’t have a group yet, use Create Group on the Groups page (or create one while making your first listing):

  • Name (required, up to 100 characters)
  • Description (up to 500 characters)
  • Modpack (optional): attaching one sets the group icon automatically
  • Icon: pick from the preset group icons

You become the owner of the group immediately.

Owners and admins can invite people:

  1. Open the group’s Members card and click Invite.
  2. Enter the person’s full email address: invitations match by exact email, so make sure it’s the one they signed up with.
  3. Send. The invitation shows up in their dashboard Action Center and Notifications, and on their Groups page, until they accept or it expires.

You can rescind an invitation from the same place if you sent it by mistake.

You’ll spot a pending invitation in three places:

  • Dashboard Action Center: a banner saying “The player X invited you to join the group Y”
  • Groups page → Invitations: with a count badge
  • The group page itself: a banner with Accept and Decline buttons

Click Accept to become a member.

The owner can promote or demote members:

  • Make Admin: an admin can invite/remove members, review applications, edit the server, and create listings.
  • Make Member: removes admin powers.

Only the owner can transfer ownership, and only to an admin of the group:

  1. In the Members card, find the admin and click Transfer.
  2. Confirm. You become an admin; they become the owner.
  • Owner can remove anyone (except themselves).
  • Admins can remove members, but not other admins or the owner.

Removed members can reapply via a listing or be re-invited.

Members and admins can leave anytime with the Leave Group button. Owners can’t leave directly. They must transfer ownership first (or delete the group).

Only the owner can delete a group. It permanently removes the group, all memberships, listings, and sessions, and cannot be undone: the delete dialog spells this out before you confirm.
